Everything
is a test of your faith. Everything.
From the lies the Heretic tells you to promises of coin or power, everything
is a test. Beware the infidel, the blasphemer, the Heretic. Trust not
what you hear from those most wayward. Trust only in the Light. The
weak will fail this great test of will, honour, and faith, and will
fall as so many before them have fallen. Only the strong will endure
and stand against the fallen paladin, the wayward masses, and the warlock.
The strong will be blessed by the Light! The strong will triumph over
heresy! Caelestis Gloriam!"

Alexandrus of the Order of the Caelestis Templares of the Light, Son
of Senthroth Goron, Son of Senthroth the Loyal ~

Those
who are removed for long absences
Following the issue brought to light with Acolyte Calmorlayne it has
become clear that the policy towards those who are removed from the
ranks for long absences (greater than three months) must be made clear.
Those who are
removed from the ranks for long absences lose all medals, honours,
credits towards promotions and even rank. If they return they may
be invited back into the guild because in character they have never
left.
Once they are
welcome back from their long pilgrimage or other valid RP excuse for
being away, they will be restored to the rank they had when they left
providing an officer remembers their past rank. If in doubt they will
be granted the highest rank that any officer can be certain of. In
the event they had "Tested" status when they departed they
must retake the test to prove they have not forgotten anything and
must meet any new requirements for the promotion or test. If they
had credits towards a promotion, such as having trained squires that
can be varified they will regain those as well. Medals that can be
varified by achievements will also be re awarded. Other medals, such
as soft medals for hard to varify things, such as the penitent brooch,
must be re-earned.
If there is any
doubt, an officers best memory is what is used and members who return
are not entitled to their past honours and may have to re-earn everything
though we will try to give credit where possible.
